X Assistant reads visible page content on x.com and twitter.com only to apply the features selected by the user. This processing happens locally in the browser.
Data stored
X Assistant stores feature settings and an installation timestamp in Chrome local storage. This information stays on the user's device.
Data collection and sharing
X Assistant does not transmit page content, browsing activity, settings, or personal information to the developer or any third party. It does not use analytics, advertising, tracking, or remotely hosted code. No human can access the content processed by the extension.
Permissions
The storage permission saves local settings. Access to x.com and twitter.com is used only to provide the extension's visible reading and cleanup features.
Retention and deletion
Locally stored settings remain until the user changes them, clears the extension's storage, or uninstalls the extension. Uninstalling X Assistant removes its locally stored data through Chrome.
Limited Use
X Assistant's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide the extension's single purpose.
Changes
This policy will be updated if X Assistant's data practices change. The effective date above identifies the latest version.
